Amahl and the Night Visitors

Menotti's Christmas gem of an opera, Amahl and the Night Visitors, will be produced by New York Opera Society the final week of November. Amahl is about a mother and her young son, who are surprised one night by the sudden visit by the three Maggi on their way to visit the Christ Child. Despite their meager home and lack of comforts to entertain the three kings, the spirit of love, forgiveness, generosity and healing come front and center.
